Funny Stories

• Emma and Lily say and do so many cute and funny things I have to start writing them down so I don't forget. Today Emma said as we were waiting for Dave to come home from work, "Mom can Dad be my prince charming tonight at the party."
• I was talking to Emma a few days ago and I asked her If she thought her Dad was strong. She said, "Yes he is so strong because he can spray bugs to kill them."
• Emma and Lily are really good at saying there prayers. Emma will say her prayer while Lily says it in her own words. So I did not know what Emma was saying at the end of her prayers for a long time until she said it slower the other night. She says, "and thanks for Jesus Christ." Instead of, in the name of Jesus Christ.
• My mom got me a really pretty necklace when I got married. I was excited because Michelle found it in her jewelry box. So I brought it to my house. I had it on my dresser and Emma came in my room really early while I was still sleeping. She saw it and took it to her room. Then about an hour later she said, "Oh Mom I broke your necklace. I am sorry don't worry about it Mom its okay." Those are the same words I say to Emma when something breaks that she really cares about. I said, "how did it break?" She said, "I was just pulling on it and it broke but don't worry about it." I said, "I am really worried about it that makes me so sad that was a special necklace my mom gave me. She felt really bad and she went into her room. I could hear her talking to herself she said in a whisper voice,"Oh why did I tell me mom?" She is so cute it was hard to stay mad. She brought me her necklace and Said,"Look mom I am giving you a special necklace from me for you and Dad to get married."
• I throw away a lot of stuff. I am notorious for throwing away stuff. I just don't really get attached to things. I like a non clutter environment. I might be a little to extreme. I threw away a little book Emma's class made. She saw it in the garbage and said, "Oh my gosh Mom you threw away my book." I felt really bad I did not want her to see it. I keep other things she makes. Then she screamed again,"Oh my Gosh mom you threw away my toy and it wasn't old yet." I might be a little to extreme.
• During conference weekend Em said, "Uh my tummy really hurts." I said, "Why?" Emma said, "Well remember I swallowed money I found in the garage the other day." I said, "No I dont remeber you swallowed money." She said, "Well I did." So I took her to the doctor and he listened to her breathing and said he thinks she will be fine and it is pretty common. She never does stuff like that I was shocked I guess she was just curious or really really hungry.

Pre-Halloween

We are getting ready a little early for Halloween. Emma asks me everyday if it is Halloween yet she is super excited.

Emma and I were playing and wearing these wigs. Than Lily woke up from her nap. she came out of her room to find us and she saw the wigs and jumped so high and ran back towards her room. I had to hurry and take it off. Than she started to laugh. I felt bad I was not trying to scare her.

My Dad bought the girls these dresses. He knows the grand kids sizes. They are so spoiled. I want to be just like my parents and spoil my grand kids to. Emma told me,"Mom when I am a mom I will let my little girl pack a backpack with jami's and a toothbrush and I will say yes yes you can sleep over at your house." She is planning ahead.

Emma said,"Hey mom this will be funny take a picture of me like this."

Midway

With all the loving grandparents Emma and Lily have in their lives they are definitely not hurting for attention.

Dave is reading Fancy Nancy. Emma is Fancy Nancy.

Lily loves Charlie. He licks her hand and she laughs really hard. He is officially the worlds best dog with children. He has been kicked, sat on, hit, ears pulled, hair pulled, pinched. Everyone of the grand kids have gotten Charlie someway or another. In all that he has been through he has not ever ever bite the kids or hurt them back. He is such a good dog.

Little Emma is just like me. She does not go anywhere without her drawing paper

Dad is taking the kids on a walk again.

Sundays

I think that some Sundays you get extra blessings for going to church. Dave and I are usually a little frazzled before church. When Dave says," I don't want to be late." That is fighting words of course I don't want to be late either! No matter what time I get up I still am a little late. It is not easy to get me and the girls ready. My Mom had five girls and one boy. I don't remember ever being late. How in the world did she do that. I need to figure out some more tricks.

Pumpkins

Dave surprised Emma and Lily with pumpkins. They love to play with them. Everywhere we drive Emma looks for the houses that have pumpkins on them. It is a fun game.

I love leg warmers. Especially if you have two little girls who love to wear skirts.

Little Travelers

I love our car rides together. Emma and I have very deep conversations. She is very aware of her surrondings. That is why I cant listen to Doc Laura anymore, because Emma picks up on what she is talking about. I love Doctor Laura but she is a little vulgar sometimes. Emma always ask's me, "Mom can you play Barbies with me?" I reply, "No I cant right now because I am driving I have to watch the road." Emma always wants me to pull over so we can play Barbies.

Lily loves to say,"MOM, MOM, MOM, MOM!" I say what and she keeps saying until I turn around. Then she says,"Hi", and giggles.

Grandma Grant

Jason and Lupita are so so baby hungry. They love Emma and Lily they are really cute with the kids.

This is Hayley she is also very very baby hungry.

BYU

This was a cold cold game. This is an action shot. Michelle and Blake and Emma and Lily are all reaching for each other at the same time.

We kept warm. We put Emma and Lily on our laps. Emma went underneath the seat during the game. I thought I could feel her by my legs but it was my bag. She crawled underneath a few people's legs. It scared me to death when I looked under my seat and she was gone. It is not like there is any leg room at all. She is so bendy she can get through very small places.

This little bag on Emma's lap had markers, pencils, crayons and erasers. Emma takes it everywhere she goes. She calls it her homework. She is a really good artist. She is always drawing and so is Lily.

Lily is going to be a ladybug for Halloween. She got to wear it a little early since it is really warm. It is not red for Utah. It is red for Dixie. Since she wore it to the BYU game.

Kelly's Wedding

Here is Dale, Dave, Sky and Zach. All of Dave's brothers. I got to take pictures for my nieces wedding. It was really fun to do.

This is our some of our nieces with Dave right in the middle. When we got married I inherited about twenty nieces and nephews instantly. I love being an Aunt.
